Google Maps is one of my favorite Android apps on Android. It’s my on-the-go app whenever I leave my house, especially when I’m travelling to another city.
According to a new report, Google has surpassed one billion downloads milestone, making it a second app after Gmail to cross the one billion mark.
The app is one of the most used Google services, not just on Android, but also on iOS and the web as well. The aim of the app is to provide you directions to your destination. The one billion download mark is not those who may have reinstalled the app from the same Google account, but all of them are for different Google accounts — one people different people have downloaded the app on their devices.
Best thing about the app is that it has evolved to a great extent since its inception, and Google has been added more and more exciting features to app, not just on Android, but on iOS as well, especially after iOS maps failed to impress the users, at least some if not all.
Let’s see which other Google service grabs this title after Gmail and Google Maps.
