Google has this week announced the addition of 10 new Google Chromecast just in time for the holidays season with app for Vevo and Songza no available to owners of the Google Chromecast.
The full list of new Google Chromecast applications released by Google include the addition of VEVO, Red Bull.TV, Songza, PostTV, Viki, Revision 3, Plex, RealPlayer Cloud, Avia and BeyondPod.
To re-cap Google Chromecast can stream media through your network and from your laptop, desktop, smartphone and tablet devices as well as YouTube, Netflix, Pandora, and tons of Google Play content. The new Google Chromecast support Android, iOS, Chrome for Mac, and Chrome for Windows and plygs into any HDTV equipped with a HDMI port.
Google’s Jennifer Wasson, Chromecast Business Development Manager explains in their announcement today over on the Google Chrome Blog :
“Learn more about the supported apps and stay up to date on what’s new at chromecast.com/apps. To start casting from these apps, make sure you have the latest versions for Android or iOS, or use Chrome to cast from your laptop. These apps will be rolling out over the next few days.”
