Google recently launched the Google Chromecast in Europe, the device has been available in the US for some time, and Google previously mentioned that it had sold millions of Chromecast devices since in launched.
Now according to some retailers in the UK and Norway, sales of the Google Chromecast have been high since the device launched recently.
In the UK, retailer Dixons, who also own Currys, told that they were selling a Chromecast device every 4.5 seconds since it went on sale, and they sold out in many of their stores on launch day.
Norway’s Elkjop has also seen strong sales of the Google Chromecast, the company had to order an additional batch of 40,000 Chromecast devices just a few days after launched to keep up with demand for the gadget.
The Google Chromecast is available in a range of European countries, which include the UK, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Norway.
The Chromecast plugs directly into the HDMI port on your HDTV, it is powered by USB and comes with a range of streaming apps, which include the likes of Netflix, Hulu Plus, YouTube, Google Play Movies and Music and many more.
The Google Chromecast is reasonably priced compared to other streaming devices, the Chromecast retails for £35 in the UK and 35 Euros in Europe.
