Ergo Electronics have introduced their new GoNote 10 inch Android Netbook today, which will be arriving in the UK next month and will be competitively priced at £150, for UK students.
The GoNote is equipped with a touchscreen display and runs Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system, and is powered by a 1.2GHz ARM Rockchip RK2918 processor supported by 1GB RAM.
The GoNote 10 inch touchscreen sports a 1024×600 resolution, 8GB of storage and other features include access to the Google Play Store and the GoNote comes with Kingsoft Office for Android pre-loaded. The GoNote is WiFi enabled but does not support GPS or embedded 3G connectivity unfortunately.
“GoNote bridges the gap between a netbook and a tablet and is pretty unique because its a compact notebook that has a touchscreen. Within minutes of using it, GoNote turns years of web browsing on its head, and you intuitively touch, swipe and pinch the web rather than reaching for your mouse. GoNote’s resistive touchscreen recognises 2 finger inputs so you can pinch to zoom into webpages and get a close up with your digital photos.”
