Gigabyte has announced the launch and availability of its new Gigabyte PCIe M.2 SSDs storage solutions which are now available to purchase price from $50 upwards. Each comes with a three-year warranty and is available in 128GB and 256GB storage capacities priced at $49.99 and $69.99 respectively. Also “shipping soon” will be a larger 512GB PCIe M.2 SSD version although no pricing or availability has been confirmed at the current time.
The new range of Gigabyte solid state drive storage solutions adopt 2280 mainstream specifications and operate by way of the PCIe Gen3 x2 M.2 transmission interface. Removing the need for power and transmission cables that are used with traditional SATA SSDs. NVMe architecture used in the storage allows for superior read/write speeds compared to SATA SSDs.
