After a number of delays it now looks like a release of the new GameStick gaming console might finally happen, as its now been spotted making its way through the FCC.
The appearance of the GameStick console at the FCC adds hope to Kickstarter backers that the console will soon be launching and meet its latest launch deadline that was set for October 29th 2013 after missing a few others set earlier in the year.
GameStick console launched on the Kickstarter website back in January and successfully raised over $640,000. The delays as with many successful Kickstarter campaigns, has been caused by the huge response to the GameStick console. Smith, PlayJam CEO explains:
To recap the GameStick runs a custom version of Android and is powered by an Amlogic 8276-MX ARM Cortex-A9 processor and has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of flash storage. It supports 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0.
When it finally launches the GameStick console will be available to purchase for $79.99 in the US and £79.99 in the UK.
