Foursquare is a very popular application that gives users the ability to check-in to different locations anytime, anywhere. Earlier this month, the folks at Foursquare released a totally revamped application for iOS that embraced the look and feel of Apple’s new operating system.
If you’re a Foursquare addict with an Android device, you should know there’s an update waiting for you in the Google Play Store. The latest update comes with a totally revamped, yet a familiar, interface. Yes, it’s familiar to the recent iOS version, but it still introduces some improvements compared to the previous version.
The company is yet to provide an official changelog for the application, but there quite a lot of improvements made within the application. Firstly, the annoying Maps view is gone from the home screen, focusing more on friend’s check-ins during the day along with other activities. The application looks cleaner, which is a lot easier to navigate and lists friends, with access to a full map of locations. Additionally, it comes with new icon with simplified navigation icons for Search, Notifications and action overflow.
The functionality remains the same, with the same check-in button at the bottom of the home screen and view view friend’s check-ins or check-in to a place with a single tap.
Simply head over to the Google Play Store and download the revamped Foursquare for your device.
