Some of our readers will remember the EverDock that we featured last year, the device originally launched on Kickstarter, and ended up being very popular.
The original EverDock raised over $450,000 on Kickstarter, and now its creators are back with a new car dock designed to work with the iPhone and Android devices, the EverDock Go.
Cars come in all shapes and sizes. Creating a docking solution that works in any car wasn’t easy. Over half of the states in the US have outlawed mounting devices to the windshield, so window mounts were eliminated. The dash is also a big variable and docks on the dash can also obstruct your view.
So, we decided to focus on the cup holder. Just about every car on the road has at least one cup holder that is easily accessible. Mounting the EverDock Go inside the cup holder was a challenge we solved by using a small locking disc placed at the bottom of your cup holder.
Using this ingenious mounting method, the EverDock Go stays firmly in place in any car yet is easily removed with just a simple twist.
The EverDock Go is designed to work with the iPhone 5S, 5C, 5, 4 and a number of Android devices including devices from HTC and Samsung plus a range of other manufacturers, have a look at the video over at Kickstarter.
The EverDock Go will retail for $50 when it launches, although the early bird is available in Kickstarter for $35, you can find out more information over at Kickstarter at the link below.
