When Microsoft first unveiled the new Xbox One, they focused heavily on the entertainment features of the console, and now according to a recent report, Microsoft may release an entertainment only version of the Xbox One.
Sony’s PlayStation 4 launched last week, and Microsoft will launch their new Xbox One console this week on the 22nd of November.
The news comes from Paul Thurrot, who has said that Microsoft are planning to release a new version of the Xbox One that will not come with any gaming, and will be used solely for entertainment.
This new Xbox One console would be cheaper than the full Xbox One console, and the device is apparently ready to go, but Microsoft has decided not to release it just yet.
The reason that Microsoft has decided not to release an entertainment only Xbox One, is that the company are worried that the device may outsell the gaming Xbox One.
The Xbox One retails for $499 in the US, although the entrainment only version is expected to retail for considerably less, as yet there are no details on how much it may cost.
