If you’re away from an outlet all day for school or spend a lot of time outdoors camping or hiking you know how hard it can be to keep your smartphones and tablets charged up and working. A new backpack with a built-in solar panel that promises to keep your gadgets charged up while you’re on the go has turned up called the EnerPlex Packr. The backpack has a solar panel integrated onto the outside of the bag.
The way the solar panel is integrated into the backpack means that you don’t have to stop to deploy the panel to charge. The panel will gather solar electricity and charge your gadgets while you walk around. The solar panel generates 3 W of power and outputs that power via a standard 5V USB port.
You can plug any gadget that’s capable of charging from the USB port into the backpack and get free solar power. The backpack will be available in black with orange trim or black with green trim. The backpack also has a number of pockets including laptop pouches and two water bottle holders. The backpack is available now for $99.99.
