iPhone owners that enjoy taking photography at night but are a little disappointed with the results they achieve with the built-in in LED flash provided by Apple. Might be interested in a new illuminating iPhone case called the Ember which has been specifically designed for night time and lowlight condition photography.
The Ember night photography iPhone case has been designed to capture incredible nighttime photos and videos and uses a soft warm light to illuminate your subject. Watch the video after the jump to see the Ember iPhone case in action.
The Ember iPhone night light case is equipped with 56 LEDs providing users with a light source that’s 10x brighter than the iPhone’s flash, and can also be used with lens adapters when required. Its creators explain :
“We’re thrilled to introduce the premiere tool for mobile night photography: the Ember. The smartphone revolution has changed the way we connect, and introduced a whole new kind of photography to the world. With powerful cameras in reach of our pockets, snapping and sharing photos has become the new norm.
Despite these leaps forward in mobile technology, photo and video taken at night still miss the mark. Limited by battery life and a single LED, built-in flashes often function better as a flashlight than a photography tool. The Ember sets a new standard for mobile night photography by providing soft, warm light that enhances color, clarity, and overall quality of photo and video shots.”
Features of the Ember night light iPhone case include the ability to :
– Control brightness precisely with the slide of a finger
– Attach accessories such as a microphone to the cold shoe mount, or mount the Ember to a tripod with the included adapter
– The independent battery charges through a micro-USB port on the Ember’s side
– Slide color filters in and out with the removable top, or leave the top off to use with your favorite iPhone lens
The Ember iPhone case project is currently over on the Kickstarter crowd funding website looking to raise enough pledges to make the jump from concept to production.
