Makers and electronic enthusiasts looking for a project to keep them busy this weekend may be interested in a new Arduino chatterbox called Eve which has been created and built by Debashish Buragohain. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the Arduino powered Eve chatbot which uses Google Voice Recognition on an Android smartphone to listen to what you say and convert it to text which is then displayed on the Arduino-based robot via Bluetooth.
“Hello DIYrs, ever wanted to share your feelings with someone but there isn’t a trusted one around? Well, my cute little Eve has been created for exactly that purpose. She is a chatterbot, a very cute one in fact. Well a chatterbot is a computer program or device that conducts a conversation based on textual or auditory methods. They are so common nowadays that there is hardly one who is unknown of it. Starting from the virtual assistants of Siri and Google Assistant, there is Mitsuku and Evie and so many to name for, all based on textual or auditory methods. Eve here is based on the auditory method.”
If you fancy building your very own Arduino powered Eve chatbot jump over to the Instructables website via the link below, where full instructions and all code is available making the process as easy as possible.
