The Dell Streak goes on sale in the US today, although one thing that may put people off this Android tablet is the fact that it comes with Android 1.6. Now its seems that an Android 2.1 based build of the Dell Streak’s firmware has been leaked.
The guys over at the Android Modaco forums have the firmware available to download, and you can also find instructions on what you need to do to install it on your Dell Streak.
The Dell Streak features a 5 inch WVGA capacitive multi touch display with a resolution of 800 x 400 pixels, processing comes from a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and there is also a five megapixel camera with an LED flash and VGA front facing camera.
Other features on the Dell Streak include 2GB of built in storage, a microSD card slot that can take up to 32GB microSD cards, plus 3g, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.
