Google has this week rolled out a new update for its Chrome browser app for Android, adding a number of security features to help keep you safer as you surf.
New features within the Google Chrome browser update, have now strengthened the apps sandbox technology, stoping malicious mobile websites by restricting them so they cannot effect the entire Chrome browser.
A more in-depth sandboxing feature will automatically be enabled for devices running Google’s latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. Google explains:
“Security is one of the core principles of Chrome, and as mobile usage proliferates, we’re committed to providing users a safe browsing experience regardless of the device they’re on. With today’s Chrome for Android update on Google Play, your browsing experience on Android just got safer. “
The latest Google Chrome browser app for Android is now available to download from the Google Play Store.
