Canon has this week unveiled a new addition to their range of camcorders with the launch of the new Canon VIXIA HF G30 camcorder, which has been equipped with premium optics.
The new Canon VIXIA HF G30 camcorder features a a 20 x Zoom Lens, with an updated HD CMOS Pro Sensor, together with MP4 recording and wireless support.
The newly designed Canon VIXIA HF G30 20x wide-angle (35mm equivalent: 26.8mm – 536mm) f/1.8 HD Video Lens has been designed to offer wide-angle and powerful zooming without compromising quality, and has been built using the same Hi-UD (Hi Index Ultra Low Dispersion) technology found in Canon’s XF professional camcorder line. Yuichi Ishizuka, executive vice president and general manager, Imaging Technologies and Communications Group, Canon U.S.A. explains:
“The new VIXIA HF G30 camcorder opens up new possibilities for advanced amateurs looking to explore their creative potential with professional-level performance and wireless capabilities in a consumer camcorder.”
The VIXIA HF G30 camcorder also includes advanced features such as manual colour temperature control from 2,000K-15,000K in 100K increments, colour bars with test tone, manual shutter speed and aperture control, together with a built-in Remote Control Terminal.
The new Canon VIXIA HF G30 is expected to start shipping in June for around $1,700
