Snowboard maker Burton has teamed up with Lucasfilm, and the two companies are releasing a range of Star Wars themed snowboards and also an R2-D2 themed helmet designed for kids.
The Force is definitely with the new Avid Grom R2-D2 helmet, which is designed after everyone’s favorite droid sidekick, and features a lightweight in-molded polycarbonate shell. The collectible new RED helmet also includes the Spin Fit System that allows riders to easily adjust the fit and helmet’s circumference. Other standard features include Airvanced Ventilation™ to customize venting and a goggle gasket to keep goggles in place. Little groms can impersonate the classic Star Wars character both on and off the mountain since the helmet can be worn on snow, for skateboarding or on bike rides.
