Borders has its own eReader called the Kobo that it unveiled last month. The company plans to offer a good, better, best line up of eReaders at a digital section of the store. One of the readers that will be offered alongside the Kobo is the Libre Pro eReader.
Borders is now taking pre-orders on the Libre at a price of $119.99. The eReader is the same Aluratek Libre that was unveiled a while back. The Borders version is black and has a 5-inch monochrome reflective light display that promises to look like paper and be easy on the eyes.
The battery in the Libre is good for 24 hours of continuous use and the device measures 6″ x 4″ x 0.5″ and weighs 7.6 ounces. The reader has 256MB of internal memory and can be upgraded with 32GB SD card. The device has 100 books pre-installed on it from the classic library. Borders will ship the Libre on July 2.
