Anyone looking for a way to keep their desk tidy and also view their mobile devices may be interested in a new desktop organiser and device stand called BOB, which has been created by Bang Creations located in London.
BOB has launched via Kickstarter this month and has already raised the required funds it needs to go to the next stage of development and into production. Check out the video below to learn more about the inspiration, design and functionality of BOB.
The humble glasses case has just been re-invented. When we purchase our beloved specs or shades we are normally given the case as a freebee. It has one function- it protects our glasses. BOB is a glasses case that delivers more, it is a case for your glasses, a place for your devices, and a catch all for your bits and bobs. BOB opens up to allow you to display your tablet and phone while also storing and hiding all the pocket shrapnel you dump on your desk before you start work. BOB will protect your glasses, display your tech, and house your bits and bobs.
BOB is moulded for strength and protection, designed to be both comfortable and stylish. It will fit the largest of wayfarer glasses, and will stand tablets in portrait or landscape in two viewing angles. BOB is no larger than a normal glasses case. The case is moulded in ABS, then inlaid with fabric to protect the glasses. Two wings wrap around the case and are held together magnetically. These wings fold down, and support the base of your phone or tablet, while the back of the phone or tablet rests against the case. The styling and function is deliberately simplistic. Subtle hinges turn the folding walls into storage section wings and they open/close with an addictive magnetic closure.
