I really like that car makers are integrating the entertainment and control systems in our cars more and more with smartphones and other devices. Systems like the Microsoft Sync Bluetooth control system in Ford cars is great.
BMW has announced that it will be supporting one of the cool new iOS4 features for the iPhone and iPod touch in the future. The feature is iPod Out, which lets the menus on the iPod and iPhone be seen and controlled from the screen in the dash of a car.
This will let the driver control their iPod or iPhone using the familiar menus they already know. It will also mean BMW can save time designing a menu system for their vehicles and just use the ones Apple has already made. I hope in the future they can make it so we can send other types of content out to the screen like apps and video.
