Airbus has unveiled a new type of luggage they have created in the form of the Airbus Bag2Go Smart Bag which has been designed to help travellers track their bags using a smartphone and hopefully reduce the amount of lost luggage in the process.
The Airbus Bag2Go has been fitted with a GPS-tracker, a 2G mobile connection, and an RFID chip to keep its location available on your smartphone and within airports who will use the Bag2Go uniques ID within their handling systems.
A barcode on the Airbus Bag2Go syncs the luggage to your iOS device and application which includes a ‘find my bag’ feature providing you with a precise location of your luggage.
The Airbus Bag2Go also has a handy built in digital scale that allows you to check the weight of your luggage before you check-in by simply lifting it by the handle.
Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.
