Not too long ago, HTC One received the latest chocolaty Android 4.4 KitKat on all major US carriers with AT&T being the only one left. We heard a few days back the update has received technical approval from the carrier.
Today, we have some good news for those of you who are tied to AT&T. The carrier is rolling out the Android 4.4 KitKat update with Sense 5.5 UI for the HTC One.
Along with the features introduced in the sweet Android 4.4 Kitkat, users will also be able to enjoy carrier-specific features on their HTC One. The latest update comes with enhancements related to the user interface, phone dialer app, caller ID, and HTC BlinkFeed, and much more.
The latest Android 4.4 KitKat brings a restyled status and navigation bars, a new full-screen immersive mode, color emoji support, improved closed captioning support, stronger security, and smarter power use, as well as a new dialer app, ability to choose Hangouts as the default SMS/MMS app and more.
The update should reach all the devices in the coming days, so don’t panic if you don’t get it right away. The roll out process can take a few days to complete, but you can manually check for the update from the Settings if you’re too impatient.
If you already updated your AT&T HTC One on Android 4.4 KitKat, share with us if you can notice any improvements after the update.
