Asus announced its new range of ultrabook notebooks back in May, the first one was the new Asus UX21, and now it looks like the Asus range of ultrabooks will finally go on sale.
Asus will be launching its UX ultrabooks in New York at a special event on the 11th of October, and whilst we know about two models, the Asus UX21 and Asus UX31, we can probably expect to see some other new models as well.

Anticipated Features and Specifications
The Asus UX21 and UX31 are expected to feature some impressive specifications that will appeal to both casual users and professionals. The UX21, for instance, is rumored to come with an 11.6-inch display, while the UX31 will likely sport a larger 13.3-inch screen. Both models are expected to be powered by Intel’s latest processors, ensuring robust performance for a variety of tasks. Additionally, these ultrabooks are anticipated to include SSD storage options, which will significantly enhance boot times and overall system responsiveness.
We have heard previously that Asus were going to launch a total of five different ultrabook models before the end of the year. This suggests that the company is aiming to cater to a wide range of users, from those looking for ultra-portable devices to those needing more powerful machines for demanding applications. The inclusion of multiple models also indicates that Asus is committed to providing options that vary in terms of screen size, processing power, and storage capacity.
Market Competition and Expectations
The ultrabook market is becoming increasingly competitive, with major players like Apple, Dell, and HP already having established their presence. Asus’s entry into this market with its UX series is a strategic move to capture a share of the growing demand for lightweight, high-performance laptops. The UX21 and UX31 will likely be positioned as direct competitors to Apple’s MacBook Air and Dell’s XPS 13, both of which have set high standards in terms of design and performance.
Asus’s focus on design is evident from the sleek and stylish appearance of the UX series. The ultrabooks are expected to feature a unibody aluminum construction, which not only adds to their aesthetic appeal but also enhances durability. The thin and lightweight design will make these devices highly portable, ideal for users who are constantly on the go.
Another aspect where Asus is expected to excel is in the battery life of these ultrabooks. With advancements in battery technology and power-efficient components, the UX21 and UX31 are likely to offer extended battery life, allowing users to work or play for longer periods without needing to recharge.
As soon as we get some more information on what Asus has planned for the event, we will let you guys know. The launch event in New York is highly anticipated, and it will be interesting to see how Asus positions its new ultrabooks in the market. Will they introduce innovative features that set them apart from the competition? Or will they focus on offering high-quality devices at competitive prices? Only time will tell.
