Asus has this week announced that their new hybrid laptop/notebook in the form of the Asus Transformer Pad TF7101T will be launching on October 21, 2013.
The latest Asus Transformer Pad was first unveiled back in Computex earlier this year but now seems to have slipped off the radar to be replaced by the new Asus Transformer Pad TF7101T.
The new Asus Transformer Pad TF7101T is powered by a egra 4 with a quad-core Cortex-A15 processor supported by a 72-core mobile GeForce GPU. Its fitted with a 10.1-inch IPS Sharp IGZO TFT display offering users a 178-degree viewing angle, with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels.
The hybrid dock for the Asus Transformer Pad TF7101T that transforms it from a tablet to a notebook is fitted with a battery that offers an extended life of around 13-17 hours depending on use and is also fitted with a microSDXC slot. Other features include a HDMI port offering full 4K Ultra HD display support, 1 x USB 3.0 as well as Bluetooth and Fi-Fi connectivity.
The new Asus Transformer Pad TF7101T tablet/notebook will be available to purchase from October 21st for £429.99 or around $690. Together with a TransCover screen cover for £34.99 or around $60 that provides the system with a dual-angle stand.
