Armed robbers have raided a Samsung factory in Sao Paulo, Brazil, they managed to steal over $36 million worth of Samsung devices, which included Samsung smartphones, tablets and other electronic devices.
According to a recent report, the armed robbers entered the factory just after midnight, they then rounded up all the factory staff, and loaded up seven trucks full of Samsung electronics, there were apparently around 20 armed individuals involved in the raid.
The thieves managed to load the trucks with over 40,000 Samsung devices, which included Samsung smartphones, tablets and other devices.
We have cooperated fully with the police investigation that is underway and will do our best to avoid any sort of repeat incident,” said Samsung Eletronica da Amazonia Ltda., the manufacturing unit of the Korean electronics giant in Brazil, in a statement.
Luckily nobody was hurt in the raid, and there has been speculation that it could have been an inside job, as the robbers apparently had inside information relating to the layout of the factory and more.
There are no details as yet on exactly what was stolen in the raid, and also no details on the total value of Samsung devices that were taken in the robbery.
