It looks like adoption of Apple’s iOS 11 has now overtaken iOS 10. According to a recent report by Mixpanel, iOS 11 is now on 48% of Apple’s iOS devices.
This compares to 45% for iOS 10 and this is the first time that iOS 11 has been higher than that of iOS 10, have a look at the chart below.
Adoption of Apple’s iOS 11 is slower than the adoption of iOS 10 was last year. Around the same time last year iOS 10 was installed on around 58% of devices.
Apple have released a number of updates to iOS 11 since their first release, these have been small bug fix updates. The company is now working on iOS 11.1 which will beings some new features to the iPhone and iPad.
We are expecting this new version of iOS to land either some time this month or next month, possibly with the release of the new iPhone X next month.
