Apple is expected to launch OS X Yosemite some time next month, and we are expecting to heard more details about the release of Yosemite at Apple’s iPad Air 2 event next month.
Apple had now asked developers to start submitting OS X Yosemite apps, and OS X Yosemite has now reached GM (Gold Master) status, which means that it should launch soon.
Add powerful new functionality throughout OS X Yosemite with app extensions, explore the innovative new Swift programming language, and take advantage of advances in game technologies, Safari, iCloud, and more. To prepare your apps for the Mac App Store, download and build with the OS X Yosemite GM candidate and Xcode 6.1 GM seed from the Mac Dev Center. With these latest releases, Swift is now final and you can submit your Mac apps written with Swift to the Mac App Store.
Apple has also released a 4th public beta preview of OS X Yosemite, so it looks like Apple is very close to the final release of their next desktop OS.
As yet we do not have any details on when OS X Yosemite will launch, all we know is that we will get more details about the release at Apple’s iPad event later this month.
