A number of owners of a range of Apple MacBook models have had issues with their keyboards, Apple is now extending their repair program to cover more models.
Apple will repair these keyboards are part of their repair program for no charge and it covers modesl from 2015 to 2018.
The latest addition to the program includes the 2018 MacBook Air and 2018 MacBook Pro, you can see a full list of all models that are covered below.

- MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2015)
- MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2016)
- MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, 2017)
- MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2018)
- MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Two Thunderbolt 3 Ports)
- MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Two Thunderbolt 3 Ports)
- MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports)
- MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports)
- MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2016)
- MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017)
- MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2018, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports)
- MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018)
- MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2019, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports)
- MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2019)
If you have one of the above models and have had an issue with your keyboard then you can contact Apple to arrange a repair. This does not affect any of the 2019 models as the keyboard design has been changed on these.
You can start a repair by going to the support page on Apple’s website and then booking an appointment to get your MacBook keyboard repaired.
