We are expecting Apple to release Apple iOS 8.1 when they launch the new iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 later this month, and now Apple has released iOS 8.1 Beta 2 to developers.
Apple iOS 8.1 will bring Apple Pay to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, the new mobile payment service is also expected to be available on Apple’s new iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3.
The guys from MacRumors discovered some new Apple Pay setup features in Apple iOS 8.1 Beta 2, which can be seen in the photo below.
And these setup screens were available for both the iPhone and iPad, which pretty much confirms that the new iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 will come with Apple Pay, Touch ID and a fingerprint sensor.
As yet there is no official date on when Apple will release iOS 8.1, although there have been rumors that it will be launched on the 20th of October.
Apple are said to be holding their iPad press event on the 16th of October, this date has yet to be confirmed by Apple, we are also expecting to see a new Apple TV, a new Mac Mini, and a new iMac with a Retina Display.
