Apple has been offering a free single of the week on iTunes since 2004, and not it looks like the company has decided to drop the free track every week.
According to a recent report, Apple has decided to drop their weekly promotion of a free music track, although why they have stopped the free track each week has not been announced.
Apple also did not launch their 12 days of Christmas app last year, the company has launched this each year after Christmas and it gives away free music, books, games videos and more.
There has been no official word from Apple on why the company decided to put an end to both the free music track each week and also their free Christmas app at the end of last year.
