Yesterday, Apple CEO Tim Cook joined the microblogging website, Twitter. His first tweet mentions his visit to the Apple Store in Palo Alto on the launch day of iPhone 5S. Time said, “Visited Retail Stores in Palo Alto today. Seeing so many happy customers reminds us of why we do what we do.”
His first tweet was retweeted by Apple senior VP of marketing Phil Schiller and was followed by Senior VP Eddy Cue, which proves that the account is the real deal – moments after the account went live. The account has been verified by Twitter as well, with a follower count of a 161,782 at time of writing.
