On the weekend, we saw a leaked photo of the new Nokia Lumia 929, and now we have another photo of the handset, this time showing the back of the device with the Verizon branding.
The Nokia Lumia 929 is headed to Verizon Wireless, and we are expecting the device to be made official on the 22nd of October at Nokia’s press event.
As yet, we do not have any specifications on the handset, although they are said to be similar to the Nokia Lumia 1520. The two devices may not share the same display size.
Camera and Imaging Capabilities
What we can see from the photo above is that the Nokia Lumia 929 will feature a 20-megapixel Nokia PureView camera with a Carl Zeiss lens. This is a significant feature, as Nokia’s PureView technology is renowned for its exceptional image quality. The Carl Zeiss lens further enhances the camera’s capabilities, ensuring sharp and vibrant photos. This combination is likely to appeal to photography enthusiasts and those who prioritize camera quality in a smartphone.
In addition to the impressive camera, the Lumia 929 is expected to include advanced imaging software, allowing users to take advantage of various shooting modes and editing tools. Features such as optical image stabilization (OIS) and high-resolution zoom are anticipated, making it easier to capture clear and detailed images even in challenging conditions.
Expected Specifications and Features
While we await the official specifications, rumors suggest that the Nokia Lumia 929 will share several key features with the Lumia 1520. This may include a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, ensuring smooth performance and efficient multitasking. The device is also expected to come with ample storage options, possibly starting at 32GB, with the potential for expandable storage via a microSD card slot.
The display size of the Lumia 929 is still a topic of speculation. While it may not match the 6-inch display of the Lumia 1520, it is likely to feature a high-resolution screen, possibly around 5 inches, offering vibrant colors and sharp visuals. This makes it suitable for media consumption, gaming, and productivity tasks.
Another notable feature could be the inclusion of wireless charging capabilities, a hallmark of many Lumia devices. This would allow users to charge their phones conveniently without the need for cables. Additionally, the Lumia 929 is expected to run on Windows Phone 8, providing a seamless and user-friendly experience with access to a wide range of apps and services.
As soon as we get more details, we will let you guys know. The anticipation surrounding the Nokia Lumia 929 is building, and it promises to be a noteworthy addition to the Lumia lineup, especially for Verizon Wireless customers.
