Sprint has confirmed that Andy Rubin’s Essential Phone will be exclusive to them in the US, the handset will also be available unlocked from Essential’s website.
When the handset was announced there were no details on which carriers would be offering the device, now we know that Sprint will be the exclusive carrier if you want the handset on a contract.
The handset comes with some impressive specifications, it features a 5.7 inch display with a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and it is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.
Other specifications on the handset include 4GB of RAM and 128gB of storage, plus an 8 megapixel front camera and dual 13 megapixel rear cameras.
The Essential Phone will cost $699 unlocked when it launches, as yet there are no details on how much it will cost on contract with Sprint.
