A few weeks back, Huawei teamed up with XDA Developers Forum to recruit Honor 8 users for testing the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. If you’re one of those people who signed up for the program, there’s a piece of good news for you.
Android 7.0 Nougat build is now rolling out for Honor 8 users who signed up for the beta testing of the new software.
In case you can’t recall, it’s the same build with EMUI 5 which comes pre-installed with the Huawei Mate 9 which was introduced a few weeks back. The new update brings hosts of improvements, including an updated color scheme and menus, as well as better Quick Toggles Menu. There are several other performance and security related improvements in the update.
There’s no official word from the company about the availability of the stable Android 7.0 Nougat build for the handset, but now that it’s rolling out for testers. It’s likely that Honor 8 users won’t have to wait for months before the update is officially released.
