Google recently launched their new Android Device Manager service, which is designed to help your Android smartphone or tablet if you have lost your device.
Android Device Manager is now live, and it will help you find your smartphone or tablet if you are looking for it and you, ie if you know it is in your house somewhere and cant find it you can trigger the ringer on the device to help you locate it.
If you have actually lost your device you can use the built in Google location service to find out where your handset is, and if you are unable to recover the device, IE if it has been stolen, you can wipe the handset and all your data.
