Earlier this month, the unofficial Android 4.4.2 KitKat update was leaked for the Samsung Galaxy S4 with model number GT-I9505, and is expected to hit the devices very soon. It was earlier rumored that Android 4.4 KitKat will hit the Samsung Galaxy S4 by the end of January. It could be true as Samsung is already rolling out the latest OS update for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in various regions.
Recently, Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware for AT&T has been leaked on XDA-Developers forum, by designgears, with a build number I337UCUFMLD and a build date of January 2nd.
This is not the first time a firmware has leaked before it’s official roll out. It has happened many times, but the build date is quite old in this leaked AT&T version, as the international version shows a build date that’s more recent.
Also, he didn’t post the list of new features one can expect from the update, but if you want to try out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for you AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4 before it’s officially released, you can head over to the XDA link given at the end and flash the OS.
Do note that it’s not official and should have a few bugs. Additionally, I don’t recommend users to flash unofficial OS updates as they may create problems if you’re not good with the flashing stuff. I’d suggest readers to wait for AT&T and Samsung to officially released the Android 4.4.2 update, but if you think you can take it, check the details on XDA.
