Yesterday we heard a rumor that HTC are making the new Amazon Smartphone, we also heard that HTC are making a total of three different models for Amazon.
According to a recent report by Bloomberg, this new smartphone will be exclusive to Amazon Prime subscribers, and Amazon is looking to increase subscribers to its Amazon Prime service.
Amazon Prime will give you fast shipping on anything you buy from Amazon, it also offers video and music streaming to computers, mobiles and tablets.
This sounds like an interesting concept, and Amazon could possibly sell this new Amazon Smartphone at a discount to its Prime Subscribers.
With three rumored HTC Amazon smartphones on the way, we wouldn’t be surpised if one of the other models, if not the two were sold as normal handset to non Prime subscribers.
Of course this is just a rumor at the moment, Amazon previously said that it doesn’t have any plans to launch a new smartphone this year, so we could see the device launch early next year.
Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablet range have been a great success for the company, and a new Amazon Smartphone would be the next logical step for them.
