Amazon has today announced that their Amazon Prime Instant Video streaming service has started streaming high definition 4K Ultra HD movies and TV shows to Prime members at no extra cost.
From today movies and TV series available in 4K Ultra HD include Amazon Original Series Alpha House and Transparent as well as critically acclaimed BBC America thriller, Orphan Black.
Amazon has also started selling movies in 4K Ultra HD for those lucky enough to already own one of the new high definition 4K Ultra HD TVs. 4K Movies are available to purchase for $19.99 on Amazon Instant Video and includes titles such as After Earth, American Hustle, Captain Phillips , Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Elysium, Godzilla, Hancock,Moneyball, The Mask of Zorro, The Monuments Men, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Da Vinci Code, The Patriot, Think Like a Man Too and This Is the End to name just a few.
Also Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga: Cheek to Cheek LIVE! concert can also be viewed in 4K Ultra HD quality, free via Amazon’s Instant Video service to members. Michael Paull, Vice President, Amazon Digital Video :
