Amazon and Facebook have announced a partnership that is designed to make recommended products to Amazon customers better. Amazon will use Facebook data to recommend products to customers based on information listed on their Facebook profiles and also their friends profiles.
Amazon have made it clear that none of the data will be shared with Facebook, in an attempt to distance itself from the recent privacy concerns Facebook users have had.
Amazon says that this new arrangement will help them find new friends whilst shopping, as well as deliver more targeted shopping recommendations.
When you log into your Amazon account, and head to the recommendation section, you will be able to link your Facebook account to your Amazon account, once this is done you are directed to a dedicated Amazon and Facebook page which will show your likes and also your friends likes if they have also connected their two accounts.
