While Samsung keeps on denying the rumors related to the premium version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 know as the Prime version, information keeps popping up, hinting at the existence of the device.
The handset has been spotted on various occasions in the past, including benchmarks with a model number SM-G906, and now, another Samsung handset made its way to India for testing purposes, believed to be the Galaxy S5 Prime.
As per Zauba listing, the alleged handset comes with a SM-G906K model number, and has arrived in the country for “R & D purpose.” There’s nothing surprisingly listed by the Zauba listing, but we’ve seen the specifications of the alleged Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime on GFXBench.
According to rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime will rock a 5.2-inch display sporting a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, and will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm processor clocked at 2.4GHz with Adreno 420. The GFXBench results didn’t list the processor, but it could be the Snapdragon 805.
Other features include 3GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage with a microSD card slot, the similar 16MP camera for photos and videos, a 2MP front-facing camera and is expected to ship with Android 4.4.2 KitKat as its operating system.
There’s no official word about its launch, but we’re wildly guessing that it shouldn’t take too much time. We’ll update you as soon as more information pops up. Stay tuned.
