Earlier this week a trailer was released for the new Alien Isolation game that will be launching towards the end of this year and currently in development by Creative Assembly.
Now a couple of new videos have been released providing more information on what you can expect from the new Alien Isolation game. Alien Isolation has been designed to take you back to the feel of the original Alien film puts you in a survival situation being hunted by a single alien.
Unfortunately unlike most of the other alien games you are not equipped with any high-tech weaponry, just a motion detector and anything else you can find or scavenge from the remote space station.
Lead game designer Clive Lindop at Creative Assembly explains:
“When we first looked at previous Alien games they seemed to do a disservice to the film by making the alien less of the focus,”-“They all metamorphosized into action adventures; but, Alien is classic horror survival. The film is the template of horror survival.”
“We didn’t want to retcon what happened between Alien and Aliens,”-“We wanted to resist the temptation to grab the player and make them see this claring call. There’s a tendency in narrative design that the hero is the fulcram of the story but the original film already gives us this perfect foundation to work with. It was about going back to the basics.”
