Acer has created a new device called the Acer Extend which has been designed to transform your smartphone into a laptop. The Acer Extend device enables users to run Android applications on a larger screen complete with full QWERTY keyboard.
The Acer Extend device is basically a laptop wheel which include keyboard and display but without the processor of graphics chis and RAM required to run apps. All the processing, graphics and Ram are then provided by your smartphone.
The Acer Extend device also features a 6,000mAh battery, enabling you to charge your smartphone while you work. Unfortunately the Acer Extend is still currently just a prototype but Acer hope to have a final design ready for production next year.
