Acer Aspire S7 was launched last year, although Acer did not offer the device in the US with the WQHD display, it will finally go on sale in the US this week with prices starting at $1,499.
The Aspire S7 features a 13.3 inch WQHD display that has a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, there will be two different models available in the US.
The Acer Aspire S7 also comes with 2nd generation Acer TwinAir cooling, producing 20 percent less fan noise than other models.
It will come with the latest version of Microsoft’s Windows 8, and both models will feature a 256GB solid state drive and 8GB of RAM as standard.
You get a choice of either an Intel Core i5 processor in the form of an Intel i5-4200U, this model will retail for $1,499 or an Intel core i7 processor, in the form of an Intel i7-4500U, this model will retail for $1,799.
Both models of the Acer Aspire S7 will go on sale in the US later this week with a number of online retailers, including Amazon.
