Acer have unveiled their latest addition to their Aspire One netbook range, the Acer Aspire One 532G, which is the first of Acer’s netbooks to use NVIDIA’s latest ION 2 platform.
The Acer Aspire One 532G features a 10.1 inch LED backlit display, a 1.66GHx Intel Atom N450 prcoessor, and an NVIDIA GT218 GPU that comes with 512MB of dedicated memory.
The Acer Aspire One 532G also features dedicated Intel graphics, and it switches between the two graphics processors for different tasks, using the GT218 for games and other processes that need more powerful graphics and the integrated Intel graphics for more basic tasks.
What this does, is give the netbook a longer battery life of around ten hours which seems pretty impressive. The Acer Aspire One 532G will be available sometime in March, there are no details on pricing as yet.
