AAXA have taken no time updating their L1 Laser Pico Projector. The first version only released in July 2010 has now been updated and launched.
The specifications of the new version are similar to the original with a 20 lumens projector with a resolution of 800×600. The main difference is the thermal efficiency of the PCOS laser light engine.
Enhanced Thermal Efficiency
The improved thermal efficiency of the PCOS laser light engine is a significant upgrade. This enhancement means that the projector can operate more efficiently, reducing the amount of heat generated during use. This not only extends the lifespan of the projector but also ensures more stable performance over extended periods. The improved thermal management allows for a more compact design, although the device has become slightly thicker. This trade-off is well worth it for the enhanced durability and performance.
Price Reduction and Consumer Benefits
What does this mean? Well, the device has now become a little thicker but the main advantage to consumers is the $200 price drop from $599 to a more affordable $399 selling price. This price reduction makes the AAXA L1 Laser Pico Projector more accessible to a broader audience, including students, professionals, and home entertainment enthusiasts. The lower price point does not compromise the quality or features of the projector, making it an excellent value for money.
The AAXA L1 Laser Pico Projector is designed to be portable and user-friendly. It is small enough to fit in a pocket, making it ideal for on-the-go presentations or movie nights. The projector can connect to various devices, including smartphones, laptops, and gaming consoles, providing versatile usage options. The 800×600 resolution, while not the highest on the market, is sufficient for most casual viewing needs, offering clear and vibrant images.
Another notable feature is the laser light source, which provides consistent brightness and color accuracy. Unlike traditional bulb projectors, laser projectors do not require frequent bulb replacements, reducing maintenance costs and downtime. The 20 lumens brightness is suitable for dimly lit environments, making it perfect for indoor use.
