Only yesterday we mentioned that the photo sharing site Flickr was working on a new website design which it hoped to roll out very soon. To compete with the likes of Picasa, 500px, Instagram, together with social networks such as Facebook and Google+.
Well today 500px, one of Flickr’s competitors has beaten them to the hop, and launched their own new revamped website design. Which brings a new homepage with various different sizes of photos in various orientations.
Together with other new features including improved profile pages and better prominence for blog posts. As well as a new Market section which enables visitors to buy digital downloads of the photographs on the 500px website.
Other tweaks have also been made to the mechanics of the site which now allows you to add photos that are already uploaded without the need to re-upload them. To check out the new website design for 500px jump over to their website to put it through its paces.
