Apple’s iPhone 4S has a 3.5 inch display, and the previous versions of the handset also featured a similar sized display, we have been hearing rumors for a while that this years new iPhone will come with a larger display with 4 inches been the size that many are reporting.
Now the is reporting that the new 2012 iPhone will go into production in June, and that it will come with a larger 4 inch display as opposed to the 3.5 inch display on the existing model.
The WSJ have said that Apple has apparently ordered the new 4 inch displays from its suppliers in Asia ready for the device to go into production next month.
If Apple did introduce a larger iPhone that would mean a new design for the handset, the last new design we had was when Apple released the iPhone 4, and before that when they released the iPhone 3G.
In the past, Apple has changed the design of their iPhone every two years, so if they follow the same pattern this year, then we can expect a new design, which would tie in with the rumor of a larger 4 inch display.
Apple are expected to launch their new 2012 iPhone in September or October of this year, which would be twelve months on from the launch of last years iPhone 4S.
