Nikon Outs New Micro-NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G Lens

Nikon has today added a new prime lens to its Nikon DX-format range of lenses with the addition of the new Nikon AF-S-DX-Micro-NIKKOR-40mm-f-2.8G-Lens. The new Micro lens has a minimum focusing distance of just 0.53 feet (6.4 inches) enabling you to take extreme close-up photographs together with HD video in a life-size 1:1 reproduction ratio.

The Micro-NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G Lens weighs just 9 ounces (235g) and is compact and perfect for your DSLR kit , with a natural focal length of 35mm viewing angle - 60mm optic and large f/2.8 aperture which will prepare you for use in a wide variety of applications, for either close up or portrait photos.

The new AF-S-DX-Micro-NIKKOR-40mm-f-2.8G Lens will be arriving in stores next month for around $279
