Images of the new HTC Eternity smartphone together with a few specifications have leaked out and been discovered by the German HTC Inside website.
The leaked specifications show that the new HTC Eternity will be running Windows Phone 7 and powered by a single-core 1.5GHz processor. This processor, while single-core, is quite powerful for its time, ensuring smooth performance for everyday tasks and moderate multitasking. The device will also be equipped with an impressive 8-megapixel rear camera complete with autofocus and dual LED flash, which promises to deliver high-quality photos even in low-light conditions. Additionally, the HTC Eternity will feature a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera, making it suitable for video calls and selfies.

Display and Multimedia Features
Its touch screen display will be a 4.7-inch WVGA Super LCD, which is quite large for smartphones of its era. This large display will provide users with a more immersive experience whether they are browsing the web, watching videos, or playing games. The Super LCD technology is known for its vibrant colors and wide viewing angles, making it a great choice for multimedia consumption.
The new HTC Eternity will also feature a 720p movie mode, allowing users to record high-definition videos. This feature is particularly useful for capturing memorable moments in high quality. With 16GB of internal storage, users will have ample space to store their photos, videos, and apps. However, it is not yet clear whether the device will support expandable storage via a microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery Life
In terms of connectivity, the HTC Eternity will come with DLNA support, which allows users to stream media wirelessly to compatible devices such as TVs and speakers. This feature enhances the multimedia experience by enabling seamless sharing of content. The device will also include Bluetooth, WiFi, and GPS, ensuring that users stay connected and can navigate with ease.
The HTC Eternity will be powered by a 1,650mAh battery, which should provide a decent amount of usage time given the device’s specifications. However, actual battery life will depend on various factors such as usage patterns and network conditions. Users can expect to get through a typical day of moderate use without needing to recharge.
Unfortunately, no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been discovered as yet, but as soon as it comes to light, as always, we will let you know. The HTC Eternity is shaping up to be a promising addition to the smartphone market, offering a blend of powerful features and sleek design.
