The Approach S2 has been designed to measure individual shot distances and calculate precise yardage to the front, back and middle of the green as you play in real time. Other features of the Garmin Approach S2 include a odometer to record how far you have walked together with a lifetimes worth of course updates without the need to pay a subscription or any additional fees, whatsoever.
“The S2 also features layup and dogleg distances at a glance so golfers can improve their understanding of any course and in turn attempt to lower their score. Using S2 you can concentrate 100% on your game – no complicated setup, no searching for the right golf course or specific hole, so your playing partners won’t be affected. Before you start to play; just switch on S2, it detects which golf course you are on and even transfers you automatically from one hole to the next. Ensuring you’re receiving the correct information for the hole you are on. Just enjoy the game.”
The Garmin Approach S2 will be available to buy from March 2013 for around $249.99
