Google Chrome OS To Launch Within A Week?

According to Tech Crunch, Google [GOOG] are set to launch their Chrome OS shortly, and it could be available within the next week.

Google’s Chrome OS will initially be designed to be used with netbooks, and apparently they have been working with a number of  companies on the project which include, Aver, Addobe, Asus, Freescale, HP and Qualcomm.

Dell has just announced that it will be launcing it’s first Google Android powered smartphone, in China and Brazil, the Dell Mini 3.

NASA Develops Chemical Detecting iPhone Add On

There are many things the iPhone can do with the tons of apps available to download, now scientists at NASA’s Ames Research Center have created an add on for the iPhone that can detect chemicals in the air.

The gadget plugs into the dock connector on the iPhone and it can detect traces of methane, ammonia and chlorine gas in the air.

ICD has announced the launch of a new Google [GOOG] Android based touchscreen tablet, the ICD Vega.

The ICD Vega will features a 15.6 inch touchscreen display, NVIDIA’s Tegra processor, 512MB of RAM and 512MB of storage, there is also a microSD card slot for storage expansion and a 1.3 megapixel web camera.

Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Sells 4.7 Million Copies In 24 Hours

One of the most anticipated games this year went on sale on Tuesday, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, the game makers Activision Blizzard yesterday released the sales figures for the first 24 hours since the game launched.

Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 sold a massive 4.7 million copies in the US and UK, in the first 24 hours, making it the fastest selling game, a record which was previously held by GTA IV which took a massive $310 million in its first 24 hours in May 2008.

Boxee Announces The Boxee Box

Boxee has confirmed that it will be launching the ‘Boxee Box’ to run its popular Boxee software direct to your HDTV.

They have said that the Boxee Box is being made with an undisclosed hardware partner, and mock ups of the box will be shown off on December the 7th along with details and specifications about the new device.

Google Chrome Beta Coming To Apple Mac’s In December

Google Chrome is currently only available for Windows at the moment, Mac and Linux users have been waiting for a version and it looks like Mac users will be seeing a beta version of Google Chrome in December.

The current version of Chrome that is available on Windows is Chrome 3.0, there is also a beta version, 4.0 available and it looks like Mac users will be getting version 4.0 as well.

Microsoft [MSFT] has banned Xbox 360 owners from Xbox Live who are using modified consoles.

The modified  consoles can be used to play pirated games, and it looks like as many as 600,000 Xbox 360 owners have been banned from the Xbox Live service, out of its 20 million users.
